Production Sprint 1 - Week 1 DevLog - 12/03



Quick Recap: Last week we finished our prototyping phase. Our core game is set now and an art test was done to see if the art style works.

AND IT DOES. We are super happy with the looks of our game and we cannot wait to see the final results ourselves.

What was on the menu during last week?

Prototyping phase is now over, that means it is production time!

We wiped off all tables and are starting from scratch. Just to make sure everything will work and look nice, so we do not have any nasty bugs sneaking into the diner from the quickly made prototype we had before.

This weeks appetiser consisted of planning everything for our first production sprint.

Everyone got assigned their tasks so all can go as smoothly as possible.

The planned workload for everyone is about 10 hours per week.

Artistic advancements:

For the main dish the artists were busy getting their hands dirty as they were cooking up some assets to get the game as good looking as possible!

Programmers progress:

In a different part of our kitchen the developers went ahead and started to get the core game mechanics working.

They could not hold their excitement to get started. So with using basic meshes they already got something working again after starting all over.

What are next weeks specials?

Next week will be week two of our first production sprint. We will all continue to work and do our best to deliver the best results as we can.

  • Make 1v3 mode (players turn into Big Meatball!)
  • Adding more props
  • Sparticle systems
  • Menu UI
  • Items spawning, using
  • Animating characters!

The diner will be closing its doors for this week to get ready for next weeks menu.
